Linux for SGI Visual Workstations
Linux 2.2.10 + Red Hat 6.0

Fixes

Updated: June 24, 1999

Here's some stuff fixed since the 7jun99 and 22jun99 patches.

No more IDE hang problems!

NO NEED to rewire any of your IDE devices. Installing from a CD on one bus to a hard disk on the other works just splendiferously now.

NO MORE networking hangs!

You can use "linuxconf" and do "/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart" until the cows come home.

PCI IRQ assignment

The PCI infrastructure code specific to Visual Workstations now properly assigns IRQ numbers to cards in the PCI slots.

This is enough to get SOME, but NOT ALL PCI cards to work with Linux on the Visual Workstation.
