This is the easiest way to get xfs running in 2.4.22
clone the bk tree at
http://xfs.org:8090/linux-2.4+xfs

If that doesn't work for you check out the xfs-linux tree on
oss
cvs -d :pserver:cvs@oss.sgi.com:/cvs co xfs-linux
apply this patch to your 2.4.22 tree
core-xfs2.4.22.patch
then apply this patch to your freshly checked out xfs tree
xfs2.4.22.patch

cd <top of your 2.4.22 tree/fs ; ln -s <top of your xfs-linux tree> xfs
and you have a xfs 2.4.22 tree.
And you can keep cvs updating your xfs-linux tree to stay current.
