Re: 3ware - Itanium compatible drivers?

Try compiling the sources on an IA64 system, just a thought.

I do however use the 3Ware 7500-8 on Slackware and have compiled the
sources which come with 7.5.3 driver package for redhat and that works
fine, infact the driver actually comes as part of the 2.4.18 and above
kernel so I would hope so. ;-)

Subject: 3ware - Itanium compatible drivers?
        Classification:

My company is building up an Itanium based Redhat box that needs 1 TB of
storage.

They have asked me what the choices are.

I have been very impressed with 3ware cards in Pentium systems.

Does anyone know if the 3ware x86 drivers work at all in an Itanium?

Or have any thoughts about a pure software Raid?

I know the md driver can do Raid 1, can it do Raid 5?

Thanks
