    Hello there,

    We've been running Oracle 9i, on Linux 2.4.18-xfs, for some time now,
without any trouble.

    The XFS utility `xfs_mkfile' is particularly useful for creating the
datafiles with one extend (XFS extend, physically contiguous on disk), with
the obvious performance improvements.  It permits taking advantage of the
temporal and spacial access locality to avoid disk seeks.
