I boot in single user mode.

I use free -k  and I see the used memory.

After that I open and use any application like mc, cat , vi and close it and 
the memory is not fully released. For every application that I open and close I 
got a minimum 4K memory used increase...

If I use free -k and look at used memory after I clos any application I see an 
increased memory after that is not 100% released.

Because of this on my Qmail+Apache+MySQL+Coldfusion+PHP+..... server that 
open/close childs memory is going out fast and need to be rebooted daily....




What do you need to trace this?
