Same here - I have 1 home server (2 Promise Ultra100TX2 cards); and 3 work 
servers (2 Promise Ultra100TX2 cards each)  working very well with software 
RAID5/0 - and has done sice 2.4.10 (if my memory is correct).

I think the latter RH installers find the extra cards these days - but 
somewhere on the net is the work around if it won't.
