Changeing permissions and adding accounts to files from Winnt

I am just wondering if with the new version of xfs and the new version of
samba.
Does changing the permissions of files/directories and adding usernames to
files/directories from a Winnt box work.

If it does now work can anyone give me pointers and getting it to work.

At this time the best I can do is change permissions on files of the primary
user/group/everyone.  But I can't add users nor do I see any additional
users added from the linux side.

I am unable to make changes to directories.

This is an improvement from 1.02 and samba 2.2.3a.  But I was hoping that
since it is partially working that maybe I am just missing something.

System
Clean install of RedHat 7.2 using XFS 1.02 ISO's then upgraded to XFS 1.1
using XFS redhat 1.1 rpm's.
