Re: Some advisory needed (mysql, xfs, rjfs and hangups)

Hi

I dont know if the kernel/fs change triggers this bug but I did hit a
similar bug with MySQL (a recent version too).
It hangs up and starts spawning lots of threads and the CPU load arround
100%. Since then I have used the binary versions from mysql.com. I VERY
MUCH recommend them (I did benchamarks and they are faster than any other
compiled version I have made, even statically linked etc...).

So try to get the last MySQL stable version, binary tar.gz (or RPM) and
install it, and see if that crasshes.

PS: The MySQL server I am talking about now has 70 days uptime, 800
millions queries and an average of 130 queries per second, its on XFS +
software RAID 1, kernel 2.4.9-13, XFS 1.0.2 release
