Hi Chris - I don't know the answer to your RAID question, but the warning
below is indeed harmless, at this point.

It might be worth asking the LVM guys to impliment the BLKBSZSET and
BLKLGSZGET ioctls, though - I don't know if there's a reason that this
hasn't been done.
