The question is whether you have software raid5 or anything else.
Software raid0,1 and any hardware raid should be okay.

You HAVE logging enabled if you run XFS. If you don't specify logoptions
XFS creates internal log with default values.

To move internal log to external I guess you have to recreate the fs.
