kernel panic booting from raid5 with external log

Hi!

Well, changed my software raid5 / to external log now... copied system to
another disk, rebooted from that disk, made new mkfs.xfs -f -l
logdev=/dev/sde2 /dev/md0 && mount -t xfs -o logdev=/dev/sde2 /dev/md0 /mnt
without any problems and tested its performance with bonnie++. Finally moved
all the data back to fresh md0, edited /etc/fstab (i.e. /mnt/etc/fstab more
exactly) and added logdev=/dev/sde2 to mount options.

Great, I thought, and rebooted... et voila! Oooops...

Kernel panic when mounting rootfs: root fs uses a external log and I should
specify where the external logdev is within my mount command - but how?!

I've put my nose into man lilo.conf, man mkfs.xfs and Boot-Howtos but found
nothing that could help me.

Did I missed a point when setting up logdev?

2.4.14-xfs with XFS 1.0.2 stable
