RE: oops umounting full LVM snapshots

Eric,
I'm glad you reproduced the problem, because we are having the same problems
here.  We are on a 2.4.17 kernel with LVM version 1.0.2.  We include the
2.4.11 vfs lock patch that was included in LVM 1.0.3.  The disks are fibre.
XFS is from 2/7/02 cvs and is built when the kernel.  These are 4 way SMP
machines with highmem enabled.

We mount with quota,grpquota,noqenforce,nogqenforce,osyncisdsync and get a
lockup when we unmount a snapshot that has overflowed.  When we reboot, the
LVM doesn't work.  Without quotas we don't see the problem.  

I don't think IDE has anything to do with it here because we don't even have
an IDE hard drive in the system.

Let me know if there is any information we can provide or test we can do to
help hunt this down.
