Mounting a filesystem in two different places (or the same place twice)
is a linux vfs thing. The idea is so make setting up chrooted environments 
simpler. All it means is there are multiple paths into the filesystem,
the filesystem itself is really only present once.

As for the corruption thing, run xfs_repair -n on the filesystem and 
xfs_check and send us the output. Also some information about software
and hardware versions, and what you are doing to get the corruption.
