I'm using here 2.4.14, LVM (1.0.1rc4), MD and XFS. 4*17 GB in RAID5. No
problems yet. 

Just one: since I tried to build a second raid array (2*1 GB RAID1 for
XFS log volumes) and use it for a second volume group, lvcreate doesn't
let me specify /dev/md0 as the physical volume for new LVs.
Nevertheless, it is possible to create the new LV on a different PV in
the same VG outside the RAID and pvmove it afterwards onto the RAID.

# /sbin/lvcreate -L 1G -n junk vg2 /dev/md0
lvcreate -- couldn't read physical volume "/dev/md0"
