 Sounds a bit expensive. Why can't I just buy my own Gigabit fiber card
 on a custon box:?

 I see gigabit fiber cards for under $200 on pricewatch.. is there a
 trick with fiber? What is the maximum bandwidth I could hope to get
  from IDE or Scsi? Im guessing that the cost of fiber switches is 
  what makes it costly.
