There's one more compile note which may (or may not) be of
interest - I applied ide.2.4.7-p3.all.07092001.patch to the tree
after applying patch-2.4.7-xfs-2001-07-22.  (The tree was
initially virgin.)

But it's *still* mounted; that's the thing.  When I read in the
FAQ that this error means that XFS has shut the disk down, I
don't expect it to still be mounted...

I just put these extra kernel messages in for context.  This one
is harmless, as far as I can tell...
