xfs_force_shutdown with kernel 2.4.3-SGI_XFS_1.0.1

Hello,

I had one problem with a linux box in xFS.
This box is in IDE (no VIA or other buggy chipset),
no RAID SOFT or LVM.

This is the dmesg output:

xfs_force_shutdown(ide0(3,8),0x1) called from line 4069 of file
xfs_bmap.c. Return address = 0xc017fbcb
I/O Error Detected. Shutting down filesystem: ide0(3,8)
Please umount the filesystem, and rectify the problem(s)

ide0(3,8) is the /var partition

lspci output:

My system was unaccessible and I reboot the system,
boot in linux-rescue mode (with CD1) and ran
xfs_repair on all xFS partition.
there was no error and the system restart perfectly.
The uptime of this system was around 2 days so I prefer to solve
the problem before this week-end :)

I can provide additionnal information.

Any help will be appreciate.

Thanks.
