Yes - IRIX has been conformant with POSIX 1003.1b (the real-time
extensions) since IRIX 6.2 (under 6.2 one needed the POSIX
patch set).
I believe the 1996 POSIX 1003.1 version is actually a merger of several
POSIX standards - the original API (1003.1-1990), the real-time extentions
(1003.1b-1993), pthreads (1003.1c-1995), and 1003.1i (some slight mods
to 1003.1b). It is my understanding that IRIX is conformant to this as
well.
