I don't recall this demo, Perhaps you are thinking of the pixel fill
stats where the depth complexity rather than the depth buffer was shown.
The only demos I've which show the depth buffer are those which attempt
to do depth shadow testing by comparing projected r with texture depth
value at projected s & t, and the one I'm thinking of was not a
Performer demo.
