is it possible to compile performer applications for a MIPS target on an
x86 linux box? say i copied all the libraries off my ONYX2 and set up a
cross compliler (which i don't know anything about)... would i be able to
compile statically linked binaries on my linux box and then run them on
the irix machine later?

i would like to know if anyone has tried this or if there is any way to
pull it off.
