Performer(Linux) under XFree with DRI

Has anyone had any luck running performer for linux under
the Pre-4.0 Xfree86 releases? I just installed XFree86
Version 3.9.16 and my Voodoo Banshee card now runs all of my
OpenGL programs windowed and accelerated. However, perfly
stopped running. I upgraded Performer to the official 2.3
release but It still won't run. I realize that this release
of X is a beta, but I'm hoping someone has already gotten
performer running with it. Below is a dump of perfly's
output (with PFNFYLEVEL set to 7). Thanks.
