Performer on linux will support multiprocessing in the next release. The
team has been working hard to get single processing, file loaders, and the
general functionality ported, and now that the single process is complete,
we can move on to porting the multiprocessing infrastructure. Large
porting projects such as Performer are done incrementally, and we decided
to do multiprocessing after all the other issues are resolved.
