I'm developing a visual simulation application in Performer 2.2,
and I need to print screen copies. My framebuffer is configured with 4
components RGBA and 12 bits per component.
I tried to use the "snapshot" utility but the result is disappointing.
There is a visible loss in color precision when displaying the image
with "ipaste", probably because the gamma transform is applied on the
RGB format (only 8 bits/component). This loss is visible on the printed
image (whatever the printer quality).

Does anyone know about a tool or a method for capturing screen images
with a better color precision ?
