playing movies within an application

Hello,

We are developing collaborative VR-based software applications in C++
and Performer on the SGI platform, and would like to play MPEG or
QuickTime movie files within our applications. I have searched the
on-line documentation provided with our SGI machines but have not found
anything to indicate we can do this. Is this possible? I appreciate any
recommendations you may have.
