Yes the 320 ++at++ Siggraph had a technology demo of hardware accelerated
direct OpenGL rendering on Linux. The drivers were in a very incomplete
state and the idea was to show what was possible under Linux rather than
present this as a product which would be released. Work since the show
has focused on the driver framework in xfree86 and specifying the ABI
correctly rather than improving the 320 implementation. This strategy
will have longer term benefits for the Linux community and OpenGL.
