First of all, could you be more specific as to what purpose you would like
to fulfill? From what I remember from the olden days of the Amiga, genlock
was used for overlaying computer graphics on top of captured video
and that this was a (semi-)common feature of the video capture cards of
the time. This is different (at least in purpose it seems) from the
genlock'ing that is used for vis-sim applications which use genlock for
sync'ing together multiple displays.

If you're looking for video-editing/video-capture type solution, there are
a number of PC cards that do this. Most of the "PC-TV" cards have frame
grabbing / video capture capability. Not sure if they provide the genlock
capability you want though. If you're looking to do video capture related
stuff on Windows, software often comes with the card. If you're looking
to do video capture related stuff on Linux, you might wanna check here:
http://www.thp.Uni-Koeln.DE/~rjkm/linux/bttv.html

If you're looking to put together multiple displays to provide say, a
flight sim with a three channel display, then you'll need a 3D accelerator
with genlock or frame sync. As Angus noted, PC 3D accelerator cards with
genlock and/or frame sync aren't common. If this is what you are looking
for then perhaps someone else on this list can provide you a list of cards
that provide those features.

Hope that helps,
tom
