UKCATT - UK combined arms tactical trainer -
E&S bid a PC based I.G. on this by the time the contract was signed E&S
was forced to delay the program by up to 6 months and maybe up to a year
before they reach the performance of their old systems because the
technology isn't ready. As a result the program is at risk.
BATS - bradlay advanced training system by UDLP -
United Defence were forced by STRICOM down the PC I.G. route and
specifically decided on an E&S PC I.G. but E&S could not deliver, as a
result they eventually cancelled the order and now the program is at
risk because they've spent so much time and money on the PC debacle.
CCTT is having similar problems because vendors promising PC I.G.'s
could not deliver the performance levels of higher end solutions. This
PC story led to a budget cut in anticipation of lower costs but now the
technology can't meet the training requirements and the program is at
risk due to budget constraints.
Cheers,Angus.
