Hi Kent,

The linux port of performer has no correlation with whether or not we will
use pthreads on irix (or linux) in the future. For now, we're sticking
with a forking model.

If you're wondering about whether or not you can use performer on irix and
pthreads at the same time, the answer is yes, so long as you don't use
pfQueues, which sproc off a process (sproc and pthreads don't mix).
