MultiGen-Paradigm is currently porting Vega to Linux
using a Performer for Linux (mongoose) scene graph.
Both Vega on IRIX (Performer based) and Vega for NT
(based on Vega Scene Graph) will continue to be
enhanced as well. While we usually do not preannounce
software, we believe Vega for Linux will be
available in calendar year 2000.
[We want to be 'heroes' in your eyes as well, Dennis!]

MultiGen-Paradigm's database generation products
will continue to be available on IRIX and Windows.
The output of these tools can be used within a Linux
run-time environment. A beta version of the Performer
OpenFlight loader shipped with the beta of Performer
on Linux.

We believe this solution, a Vega-based Linux application
that supports databases generated on an IRIX or Windows
platform, fits the current Linux community profile well.
We are interested in your feedback regarding this strategy.

That's certainly true for us UNIX people!
