This is only of concern when you have a hardware accelerated driver that
includes a GLX module for the Xserver. glx.so would typically reside in
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules.

The problem you're experiencing so far is due to not having a Motif
library of some kind. See the FAQ for more details.
