problem with stereotb.c sample progarm

Hi,

I was going through the sample program stereotb.c . While executing the
program , I am getting flickering on IMPACT screen. I am using STR_TOP
monitor setting, performer 2.1 and Irix 6.2.

Has somebody experiences the same and could give me some hints?
