Using a DOF bead in multigen is one solution. This DOF will be transform
into a pfDCS once loaded in Performer. Look at pfDCS man pages to know
how to drive it in Performer.

Another solution would be to use a switch bead in Multigen. This switch
bead will be transform into a pfSwitch once loaded in Performer (that's
what we're using for our landing gear). Our landing gear object is drawn
under the switch bead in Multigen. The default position of the landing
gear can be set in Multigen. In our case the default position is "gear
down".

When we want to act on the landing gears, we are just using the pfSwitch
using the following commands:

pfSwitchVal(switchNode, PFSWITCH_OFF); /* Hide the landing gears */

pfSwitchVal(switchNode, PFSWITCH_ON); /* Show the landing gears */

Hope it helps...
