Paul had a setup in the Creative Applications Lab this year. He was
using a single
processor machine (VW320). He had a lot of custom optimizations (i.e.
created his
own ASD-like code). He was running under WinNT and used his own
libraries. He did
not use any commercial toolkit (Intrinsic or other). He used the data
streaming
power of the 320 to dynamically page large textures off of a Ciprico
disk system
connected via (I believe) fiber optic connections. The whole thing ran
under
OpenGL. Very, very impressive I must say. Thought I was seeing an Onyx
IR.
