There is no obvious reason this should be happening. One prime suspect
could be the texgen but an alternative could be if the texture state id
were going awry (I've seen this with LOD callbacks in the CULL process)
then the texel values _might_ be bogus. So make sure the LOD callbacks
are not in the CULL process or be paranoid about state management if
they are, the clipfly code we shipped had a bug with LOD callabcks in
the CULL process corrupting texture state.
How are you doing the projection?
Is it custom code? I have sample code for this + explanations in the UAV
section of www.dorbie.com. This uses CLIP texture but only on the ground
with a projected sensor shadow.
