I have several questions regarding pfASD, and I am grateful to whoever can
answer any of them:
1. Is it possible to build a paging ASD with the finest level
containing more than 2*109 triangles? The reason for asking is that faces
and vertices seem to be indexed with an int, making indexing above 2*109
impossible.
2. Have anyone built a paging ASD of that size or larger?
3. Is there any software that is able to create a paging ASD of that
size? (since pfdBuildASD won´t)
4. Is paging ASD subject to change or will the format remain the same
in future versions of Performer?
5. Is it possible to get the source code for the runtime part of pfASD?
We are especially interested in some extended documentation of the paging
format, as well as modifying the code for evaluating the pfASD over several
frames.
Also I have some problems with Cliprings:
When calling pfdASDClipring() or pfASDEnableClipRing() directly after
pfdLoadConfig(), asdfly core-dumps during either call. If I increase the
space for lodranges as proposed by the man-pages, I still get a core-dump.
How can I use cliprings in a correct manner?
Thanks in advance for any replies!
