There will be an official SGI annoucement next week about
our future direction. SGI is still committed to advanced
graphics.
The whole Performer team are still all here and cranking away
on cool stuff. Like I said before in my old postings,
Performer is and will continue to be our vis sim API for years
to come. We are all excited about porting Performer on Linux,
and supporting advanced features on next generation graphics
machines. As always, our top priority is to support you,
our loyal Performer customer.
Mongoose can't wait to meet everybody at the Friends of Performer
get-together next week. For those of you who can't make it to
SIGGRAPH this year, we will post a summary on info-performer right
after FOP.
I know that everyone is very concerned and very curious about all the
changes SGI is going to make. There will be more information at
SIGGRAPH. Please remember info-performer is our technical mailing group.
Let's concentrate on helping each other use Performer well.
