GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical assistance and support for Technical Support,
Engineering, Sales staff, and our customer base for all of
MultiGen-Paradigm's product lines. Serve as a source of technical
information for all corporate personnel. Provide team members and
management with customer support call summaries and alert the team of
potential problems or conflicts. Resolve difficult or complex technical
support questions, and provide our customer base with accurate
solutions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Manage the technical aspects of telephone, email and on-site support.
Provide technical support to MultiGen-Paradigm Inc. end-users by
coaching them through problems and assisting them with new features and
capabilities. This includes follow-up resolutions on open calls and
conducting new user training courses.
2) Work with engineering and QA staff to ensure that customer calls are
resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Logging and follow-up of
customer calls when calls are related to any software features.
SECONDARY REQUIREMENTS:
Provide our technical publications departments and education materials
developers with feedback used to improve support efficiency, reduce
customer call length and number and to help them keep the customer in
mind during the development cycle.

1) Must exhibit good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively
with team members and clients.
2) Must work in a positive and supportive manner as a team member.
3) Must have a positive and professional telephone manner.
4) Must be self-motivated and work extra hours and/or inconvenient
times, as the position requires.
5) Must be flexible and willing to perform unrelated job functions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NEEDED:
1) Must have 3D Graphics experience. Exposure to 3D graphics
applications used for CAD, VR, VisSim and realtime graphics is
preferred, ideally including MultiGen, Designer's WorkBench, or other
relevant 3-D Graphics tools. Familiarity with real-time graphics
applications and APIs like Performer, OpenGL, VEGA or any other
real-time packages is desirable. C/C++ programming experience(in school
or professional) is very helpful.
2) Must be detail oriented and accurate with excellent follow through
habits. Must accurately prioritize work and successfully problems
solve. Must trouble shoot software related problems quickly and
accurately.
3) Should have experience working in a fast-paced environment and to
work effectively under pressure.
4) Knowledge of PC NT platforms, UNIX, word processing, database
programs, as well as C/C++ experience is required.
5) Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Graphics Arts, or related
field, or equivalent education / experience. Work experience of 2+
years in the related field of technical support, field service or
engineering is desired.
