Are you using Pbuffers or using indirect rendering? If you are using
pbuffers, a badalloc is generated if the pbuffer was delay allocated and
it could not be allocated at makecurrent time. For indirect rendering,
if the context could not be made current by the Xserver, you can see
this failure.
