If you run ircombine, you can see how an Onyx2 Reality or Onyx2 InfiniteReality behaves (using the configuration editor). From what I see, you will be limited by the DG bandwidth. On Reality, a channel with the
1024x768_96s format takes almost 50% of the bandwidth, so you can not have more than two even if your framebuffer is large enough. On InfiniteReality, the same format takes about 30% of the bandwidth. I didn't see any
1024x768_96 format (only 1024x768_96s) and I don't know if you meant to run stereo or not, but even with the lighter format of 1024x768_60, you can not have more than 5 on InfiniteReality.
