I mean the iR has up to a 23 bit Z-buffer as you'll see if you use
'findvis'. The iR does some clever Z-buffer compression tricks I believe
so it only needs 23 bits, not 24 or 32 as one might expect. The result
is that you have to use the number 23 above to get a reasonable Z-buffer
allocated. I do *not* mean that the result on the screen looks strange.
