We are currently using a similar system - two lcd Projectors,
which project through polarization filters, and polarized glasses with
very good results on an
onyx (which has two monitor channels).
This system uses the "IMAX 3D" glasses, which are in turn really cheap
in comparison to shutter glasses.
Neccessary software is just to be able to produce stereo and compile a
video mode, so that Open GL manages this as stereo output, and you
should be done.
Too bad, that this system does not work on smaller workstations, since
there is no (as far to my knowledge) hardware,
which splits the combined stereo signal to two separate videostreams
(left and right).
Does anybody know about such a videosignal splitter ?
Bye,
Günter Schreiber
