/usr/share/Performer/src/pguide/libpf/C/dmvt02.c does this, it shows the
DMbuffer/pf/GL interaction but you could reduce the numebr of GL calls
using the right pf equivs and make sure it's MP safe too, at some point
I'll do another version ( ideally using the c++ api too ) but it should
get you going.
