That depends on what coordinate system XYZ is in. The other answers so
far posted are assuming you want to go from lat/long to geocentric (aka
Earth-Centered Earth-Fixed) coordinates. (i.e. 0,0,0 is the center of
the Earth).

If that's what you want, then the formula given will work. If you're
XYZ system is something else (e.g. UTM), you need a different formula.
If this is the case, find out what coord system your XYZs are in, and
email me with that info, and I can probably give you the conversion
formulae or source code.
