If you look at the source of pfuPath
/usr/share/Performer/src/lib/libpfutil/path.c
you can use the same construct as scaling the pitch and roll for
scaling the speed. Add an extra parameter to the pfuPath struct and
a function to set this parameter. Use this speedScale to adjust the
'distance' calculations used in the pfuFollow function. You can
then adjust this scale factor with keyboard commands.
