You most probably have Performer 2.2 on a separate CD, you should
load that (or the performer subsystems shipped on IRIX 6.5 foundation
cd #1) and "simultaneously" load the performer 2.2.4 upgrade
subsystems from the 2nd 6.5.3 disk.

Insert the Performer 2.2 CD first, and from within inst or swmgr type
'list' to see the subsystems and select the ones you want to install,
then insert the 6.5.3 cd #2 and type "open" to pick up the upgrade.
When you type "go" (or click begin in swmgr) the install tool will
prompt you to insert the CDs in the proper order again.
