Performer ships with a .3ds loader but for a working version you'll
need Performer 2.2.3 or above.

The Performer 2.2.3 updates shipped on the IRIX 6.5.2 CD,
              2.2.4 shipped on the IRIX 6.5.3 CD,
              2.2.5 will ship on upcoming the IRIX 6.5.4 CD.
