6.5.3 performance degredation

Hi All.

  I've recnetly upgraded an ONYX2 IR from IRIX 6.4
  to 6.5.3. Sadly this has slowed down some of our
  larger models.

  It doesn't seem to be a CPU problem - gr_osview
  shows all CPUs running well under 100%

  I will investigate further asap, but right now
  I've had to go back to 6.4 because the performance
  hit was too heavy for an urgent job.

  I'm aware of two sites (including SGI at Theale UK)
  who have gone to IRIX 6.5.2 without a performance hit,
  but I'd really like to be up to date with the OS.

  Has anybody else experienced this with 6.5.3 and
  (hopefully) found a solution ?
