You might try a trail of polygons slowly expanding behind
the aircraft. You would have to keep the history
information. By decreasing the Alpha values as the trail
gets farther from the aircraft, the trail can slowly
disappear. The problem you will face is finding a mid-point
between realism (taking every point in the history) and
having to reduce the polygons that weigh your simulation
down. Alternately both Multigen-Paradigm's Vega and
Centric's (previously Coryphaeus) EasyScene already does
this for you with add-on products.

Subject: How to realize missile trail?

Hi! Everyone:
I am using Performer2.2 pfuSmoke API
pfuSmokeType(smoke,PFUSMOKE_MISSILE)
to realize missile trail, but the resault is
disappointmenting! It doesn't
like some missile trail, just like some small fire.
How should I do? Should I use some other Texture?
Yu
