In general exporting a DXF from 3D Studio Max isn't a particularly
good idea, its not its native format. For 3D Studio Max and
similar applications we use the 3DS file format, which is a
much better choice. Its geometry is in terms of triangles,
so you never run into the concave polygon problem.

We have produced 3DS loaders for OpenGL and some of our 3D
packages. These loaders are based on the 3DS file reader
that is provided by Kinetic/AutoCAD (you can get this from
their ftp site, its C code and sort of documented). You
will need to write the performer code needed to display
the model.
