Hi Javier

I've also been wondering why there are only two fonts avaible for use
with Performer, but I checked back in the archives and followed Angus's
advice and looked up Paul Haeberli's pages.

I found two useful programs in his pages in the developers toolbox
( https://toolbox.sgi.com/toolbox/src/haeberli/fonttools/ )
These are:

fromtype1 - convert a type Abode Type 1 font to .of
meshfont - convert a .of file to a .mf

These two programs mean you can create the .mf files you want, and
thankfully you already should have a load of Type 1 font files on your
machine, check out:

/usr/lib/X11/fonts/type1/

Use the 'fromtype1' program on any of the pfa files and bingo you get a
.of file, and you can then make the .mf file.

Hope this info is useful,

cheers

Nigel
